This great vacation spot is only 1 1/2 hrs from home. We rented 3....3 bedroom condos this yr. plus a 1 bedroom (for John...he hates noise)...hehehe...with John's connections the condos were only 65$ night. These are small homes by the way. Fully equipped with full size kitchens and large dining table, living room with gas fireplaces, spacious decks with BBQ's. Which we used by the way.
If our hair looks wet we had just come back from swimming in the spacious pool, hot tub, and basking in the sauna. Robyn spent a lot of time in the kiddy pool because it was warmer than the pool. hmmmm...warmer? I wonder why?
Other activities besides swimming, were sledding, ice-skating, trekking, snowmobiling...(just kidding we don't have any...but if we did there is near by lake of the woods for plenty of trails!) cross country skiing, sno shoing...hanging out and eating smores...
It's really fun watching the marshmellow in the microwave!

Outside of the rink is a huge gas firepit to warm up by.
The weekend was too short. If anyone wants to join us next year that would be awesome!
